VERDICT: More positive tactics saw triple Chelmsford scorer Crimson Sand regain the winning thread over C&D on Saturday and another bold attempt is forecast. However, a 5lb penalty may be enough to catch the six-year-old out and preference is for the lightly-raced Lion's House. Roger Varian's gelding offered plenty to work with when sixth on his reappearance at Wolverhampton earlier this month and improvement looks forthcoming. Cajetan is also noted reverting to 6f on the all-weather.
