VERDICT: There was a lot to like about Devil's Advocate's debut performance, when finishing third over the mile at Newmarket three weeks ago. The Too Darn Hot colt, who fetched 350,000gns at the sales last year, looks certain to appreciate these extra two furlongs and with his yard coming into form, he can take a step forward. Kate O'riley is another who made a pleasing start to her racing career on the Rowley Mile and must enter calculations, while Navalanche should not be underestimated with Oisin Murphy aboard.
