VERDICT: A chance can be taken on Porfin, who finds himself on a workable mark following a handful of below-par efforts on the all-weather. Softening ground conditions should be no barrier to success and, in a race lacking much depth, he could represent some value. World Of Darcy seems to have turned a corner and merits the utmost respect having recorded a comfortable success at Windsor on Monday. That said, a 12lb penalty will undoubtedly make things tougher. Newcastle scorer Tomorrow Day heads the remainder.
