    3 1/2 L
ANALYSIS: Carried badly right start, soon switched left and in rear, pushed along halfway, no real progress
  • 5th
    1 (4)
    Josephine Gordon

    Age 3

    6 1/2 L
ANALYSIS: Went badly right start and carried rival, pushed along towards rear, hung left and weakened over 1f out
VERDICT: First-time blinkers seemed to provide the missing ingredient for My Genghis when he kept on well to score over 6f at Wolverhampton and, with excellent apprentice Jack Doughty retaining the ride, a 2lb higher mark might not be enough to prevent the five-year-old from following up. Tommytwohoots, who is 6lb well-in after his surprise heavy-ground success at Nottingham, is feared most, with the well-handicapped Lady Nagin also a key player.
