VERDICT: Opec was well on the way to justifying market support when hitting the deck at Market Rasen, with Play Pretend the chief beneficiary of that spill. The winner then only got as far as the first at Uttoxeter in a race in which Battle Of Omdurman occupied the runner-up spot. The most interesting of these juveniles, though, is easily Quantock Hills, who was snapped up for 130,000 euros after atoning for a near-miss on debut back at Dieppe second time out.
