VERDICT: Pay The Piper had Grey Diamond well in arrears when successful at Kelso, while Escapeandevade ended his last campaign on a real high, completing a hat-trick at the same venue. The suspicion is that the former remains the better treated of the pair, but both are vulnerable to the far less exposed Primoz. An expensive recruit from the pointing field, he enjoyed a good novice hurdling campaign, but chasing is presumably what he was bought for.
