VERDICT: A drop in class will come as a welcome relief to top-weight Aerion Power, whose latest Doncaster third suggests he ought to be more than competitive from an unaltered rating. The son of Kingman does have a bit to prove on forecast soft ground, however, and mudlark Laafi could provide some value. William Haggas' charge wasn't disgraced when returning from a break at Newbury last month and that form has worked out well. Loyal Touch was nudged up 4lb for his recent Pontefract triumph, but these are his ideal conditions and he is expected to go well again.
