VERDICT: Detain made a promising start to his career when getting off the mark at the first attempt over C&D in August and he should be difficult to beat. With an entry in the Group 1 Futurity towards the end of the month, this appears to be a stepping stone for John and Thady Gosden's runner. Arc-winning trainer Ralph Beckett saddles newcomer Ar Rayyan for his first taste of racecourse action and he isn't easily discounted, while The Hare Rail has shaped in his two starts to date as if he'll be winning races before long.
