VERDICT: Emphatic winner first time out, Lolo Du Velo (11) fell foul of the stride police next time, but Anthony Barrier will be keen to set the record straight. He will nevertheless want to be wary of L'oncle Sam (15) whose monte bow was particularly encouraging, and similar newcomer Lawman (13) who is shod for the occasion with Alexis Collette in the saddle. L'artiste Zen (10) debuts in the discipline after giving a reassuring performance under harness and must be taken seriously.
