VERDICT: Gipsy Thoris (4) has maintained remarkable form and consistency since finishing 2nd in his only appearance in this category on 3 March. Ideally positioned on the front row reverting to the harness code after a creditable performance under the saddle, he is the horse to beat. Gassman D'Essa (9), whose competitiveness in claimers is beyond doubt, leads the opposition and will pose a threat, along with Genevrier (7), who has regained momentum this summer in Cagnes. Goliath Du Caux (2) completes the shortlist.
