VERDICT: Cymbidium was on target over the mile at Thirsk before perhaps being unsuited by a drop in trip at Ayr. David O'Meara's filly remains on the same mark and must be of interest, but preference is for Wiltshire Lad. The son of Wootton Bassett contested a few useful novice/maiden events and an opening mark of 78 could prove lenient on that evidence. He will appreciate a step up in trip and is fancied to make a winning nursery debut. Veraison is also noted.
