VERDICT: Kervignac (11) picked up after the break as he left off last winter, with victory [at La Capelle], can be forgiven his subsequent sanction, and Paul Ploquin will be keen to make up for lost time. He will still be justifiably wary of Kakou Aldo (5) who has turned a corner since starting to race barefoot, and Kavale D'erquy (8) who won here earlier in the year and most recently repeated at Langon. Keeper Perrine (7) held his own in Paris last time and, on this occasion, looks considerably more competitive.
