VERDICT: Kaolak (1) won at Dax in early September on his chasing debut by three lengths and should be able to follow up at the expense of Demon Vert (2) who has shaped well on his last two runs, both of them over fences. He looks like the main danger to the selection. Imagination (6) has had three runs over fences and ran a nice race at Craon in a handicap chase when she was third late last month. Libya (8) heads the remainder.
