VERDICT: Elim beat Queen Of Mougins (third) and Key To Cotai (seventh) when just being touched off by a length into second in a Group 3 event at Doncaster last time and he is expected to confirm that form to go close. However, it may pay to side with Hopeful, who produced a career-best effort to fill the runner-up spot in the Kensington Palace here in June and she might have plenty more to offer. Andrew Balding's four-year-old has shown enough pace to cope with this drop in trip and she gets the nod. Ornellaia completes the shortlist.
