VERDICT: Akkadian Thunder caught the eye when staying on to take the silver medal home in this grade over track and trip last month and a 2lb rise might prove to be on the lenient side for that effort. David O'Meara's four-year-old showed his versatility in regards to ground on that occasion and has lots in his favour to go one better. Volterra was only beaten a length into second at York in August and he is one to take seriously off 4lb higher. Germanic and Qirat are others to consider in a wide-open heat.
