VERDICT: Goldenboy De Chenu (8) has been disappointing of late but has won at this course and could win this very tricky opening event. Insider (6) has won twice this year but is unreliable. He should be a threat to these rivals. Gamine Du Bas Bosq (5) was a barefoot winner last time out and remains unshod so deserves the utmost respect. Idaya Somolli (7) was in good form before a disqualification last time out and would not be a surprise winner.
