VERDICT: Beggars Rock may be able to gain some compensation here having been runner-up when well backed at Down Royal last time. The Soldier Of Fortune gelding was denied a clear run coming to the second last then before finishing half a length behind Dinoland. That form looks solid with the winner finished runner-up since.
