VERDICT: An excellent race in prospect here. Jeedaya Du Vivier (6) has won 7 of her 12 starts to date, 2 of them going clockwise, went painfully close at Vincennes last month, races unshod-behind, and the engagement of Eric Raffin will be expected to bear fruit. That said, Java Des Caillons (9) has simply excelled recently and will not go down without a fight. Consistently in the thick of things, Jina Fouteau (13) has a race under her belt and, barefoot this time, can make the frame. Unplaced here mid-August, Joconde De Rheve (10) went on to win at Strasbourg and, after going close at Le Mans [before faulting], returns to racing right-handed with a good hand to play.
