VERDICT: United Front was no match for a comfortable winner on his handicap debut at Newton Abbot last month, but that rival has gone in again since. Fergal O'Brien's gelding is just 1lb higher today and, given that he's open to further improvement over hurdles, the son of War Front looks more than capable of going one better. Recent Newton Abbot scorer Karannelle can give a good account of herself from 3lb higher, while Golden Moonshake warrants a market check, now fitted with cheekpieces on his handicap bow.
