VERDICT: Local trainer Eoin McCarthy is responsible for four of the 18 set to take part in this wide-open contest. His Dark Image ran well to finish sixth in a slightly stronger contest over the course and distance on Sunday last, and she should get closer now with Calum Hogan claiming a valuable 7lb. McCarthy also saddles Aboy Joey, Spavango (declared on Friday) and course winner Cosmic Rock, with the latter last seen finishing third at Limerick in April. Top weight Dgalwaygallivantor won over fences at Downpatrick in May and will be well-fancied to follow-up, while six-time winner Jake Peter is another likely to have plenty of supporters. Returning from a lengthy absence, it'll be interesting to see how Cullagh Star fares, while fellow handicap debutants The Nagger Reidy and Duhallow Jury are others of note.
