VERDICT: Apostle may have been turned over at odds-on at Salisbury, but the winner has since performed well in a class 2 contest and Sir Mark Prescott's filly can get back on track now returned to the all-weather. There was no fluke about Black Smoke's surprise C&D success, while fellow track-and-trip winner Atalanta Breeze is back down to a handy mark. Beau Vintage surely won't remain a maiden for too much longer, and Gold Aura and V Power should have races in them before too long as well.
