VERDICT: Count Palatine came from a long way back to swoop late when beating Kode Secret (second) by over two lengths at Thirsk on his latest outing and he should mount a serious challenge under his penalty. However, he could come out second best to Kodebreaker, who finished four and a quarter lengths clear of the third when a neck second over a mile here last time and he competes off the same rating today. With the booking of Silvestre De Sousa further aiding his cause, he gets the nod.
