VERDICT: A disappointment on soft ground at Leicester last time, Orchid is better judged on her debut run when a promising second over 7f here in August. William Buick taking over in the saddle is a big plus and she gets the vote ahead of the class-dropping Angelica Bay and Montrachet Girl, who has strong claims on her penultimate runner-up effort at Newbury.
