VERDICT: Calshot Spit is fancied to give weight and a beating to these rivals. Sheena West's gelding only found subsequent winner Got Grey too good on his handicap debut at Stratford last month and that solid display is wedged between two decisive victories on the Flat. Open to greater improvement, he is expected to have too much for the likes of Martin Spirit, who has also been in fine form on the level, and Atreides.
