VERDICT: Top Star has been expensive to follow since entering the nursery ranks and Miakoda also let favourite-backers down on his handicap bow, although he maybe didn't stay 7f and can be forgiven. Even so, there are some interesting nursery newcomers here, not least Startling, who is out of the stable's smart sprinter Pepper Lane and has a hood applied as she attempts to make light of an initial mark of just 52. Expect better from Smallbrook Lane too.
