VERDICT: In what looks a competitive affair, Wonderful Eagle gets a tentative vote. Already a dual winner over timber, it would be a surprise if there wasn't some mileage in his hurdles mark judging by his cosy Flat victory over 2m at Goodwood last month. Melton Mossy showed a likeable attitude when winning over an extended 2m2f here recently and he merits respect, for all that he has been raised 5lb and is also 4lb out of the handicap. Fellow last-time-out winner Finisk River completes the shortlist.
