VERDICT: Water Of Leith was an unlucky third in a competitive handicap at Doncaster last week, taking up the running a furlong from home before being run down by two rivals who raced on the opposite side of the track. Off an unchanged mark and with his sights lowered slightly, he can gain compensation. Canon's House has shown enough in his qualifying runs to suggest that he warrants respect on his handicap debut, while a 4lb rise for a recent Beverley success doesn't discount the hat-trick seeking Frank The Spark.
