VERDICT: Having found only a progressive rival too strong on the all-weather at Lingfield earlier this month, Alvesta is sure to prove popular now reuniting with three-time champion Flat jockey Oisin Murphy. However, a current rating of 67 has proved beyond Andrew Balding's filly in the past and the lightly-raced Umbria makes slightly more appeal. The daughter of The Grey Gatsby endured a luckless passage when a close-up third on her handicap bow at Kempton last month and compensation might be on the cards. Guendolen and Questionable are also worth a second look.
