VERDICT: Kodebreaker shaped as if this return to a mile will suit when finishing a staying-on third over 7f at Yarmouth last month and, eased 1lb, the son of Kodi Bear must be respected. That said, preference is for the hat-trick seeking Captain Corelli. Julie Camacho's charge was last seen scoring with the minimum of fuss over a mile at Thirsk and the suspicion is that he may have gotten off lightly with just a 3lb rise. Tacitus is capable of hitting the frame in a race like this if on a going day.
