VERDICT: Local Lad caught the eye on his racecourse debut when fourth in a Group 3 at the Curragh over 6f, having displayed signs of greenness throughout that performance. The step up to 7f promises to yield a fair amount of improvement and the gelded son of Sea The Moon has been found the ideal opportunity to shed the maiden tag. Chemical, Watching Stars and Valiant Knight have all shown promise to date, but the main threat may come from the well-bred Regal Agenda, who is closely related to Grade 1-placed Royal Champion.
