VERDICT: While continually dropping from his initial mark of 104, Quar Shamar might be able to get back on track here. On what was just his second start for current connections, the chestnut four-year-old made late progress in the Cambridgeshire to finish a never-nearer 10th of 24. In much calmer waters now and with John Gleeson claiming a valuable 5lb, he looks the one to beat. Ger O'Leary has been on a spending spree of late and his new recruit Acotango is of definite interest off a mark of 82. Successful on debut in April of 2022, Tough Talk hasn't managed to win since. Disappointing in recent starts at Fairyhouse and Galway, he should be able to make an impact in a contest of this quality. A runner-up at this fixture 12 months ago, Tamazu is another to consider.
