VERDICT: Qetaifan showed up well for a long way before fading into fifth late on in a warm Sandown maiden over 7f last month and, dropping back to 6f, he gets the vote to land the spoils for a stable which is operating at a 24 percent strike-rate at this venue this year. Sands Of Marra was readily outclassed in the Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood, but he had shown promise prior to that and must enter calculations, along with Mekhled.
