VERDICT: Barefoot Warrior and Lattaash won at Thirsk and Southwell respectively, with the latter preferred today having been subsequently gelded. However, both are penalised for this and Stanage can make the most of the weight concession, as he was only beaten a neck when upped to a mile at Windsor latest and first-time cheekpieces may spark further improvement. Buon Viaggio showed promise when fourth at Chelmsford on his debut and normal progress could see him in the mix.
