VERDICT: Kalamunda has shown a marked preference for the all-weather tracks and only needed to be pushed out to regain the winning thread at Southwell. Equally effective on the Polytrack, a 5lb penalty may not be enough to anchor Joseph Parr's inmate in his double bid. Jazzy Angel won at Wolverhampton in February and will be sharper for last month's reappearance at Newmarket, while Darvel remains unexposed on artificial surfaces and is only 2lb higher than when last successful on turf.
