VERDICT: Formal's debut success had already been franked, but the form received yet another boost when the third-placed horse finished a creditable second at Listed level on Saturday. The daughter of Dubawi could prove too strong under a penalty with that in mind, and she is preferred to Orchid, who struck the woodwork on her racecourse debut at Kempton. Others to note include Storm Lady and Maybe Not.
