VERDICT: Victor's Choice has the makings of a Galway soft-ground-specialist and might leave behind a disappointing run last month. Runner-up here last October, he beat Nans View, and older horses, to win at the recent summer festival and while both were well beaten subsequently, the selection had to come wide with his challenge at Leopardstown. Both horses will be much better suited to returning to soft ground today. Sylkie was a course festival winner when racing against his own age-group on heavy ground in August and has claims, despite being beaten when upped in distance at Tramore subsequently. Madame Plaintiff beat the selection to win in April but was well beaten here in July.
