    ANALYSIS: NonRunner
VERDICT: Course specialist Clear Quartz was an unlucky loser when attempting his second summer festival win in August. Ideally suited by soft ground, he met some trouble in-running on his latest start but finished well, has a particular fondness for here and looks sure to compete. San Aer also loves the Galway air and is chasing his third consecutive yearly win over today's course-and-distance. A four-time winner, he has won at consecutive October meetings (comprehensively beating the selection in 2022) and while beaten twice at the recent summer festival, ran well both times and relishes these conditions. Another course winner Monasterboice is open to further improvement being a three-year-old but competes from a career high mark and meets some older course pro's.
