ANALYSIS: Made all, hit 6th, ridden when joined after 2 out, faced sustained challenge and briefly headed run-in, rallied and led again towards finish, game, (explaining improved form the trainer noted that the gelding has had an operation for kissing spines since his last run, gelding was routine tested)

    2 1/4 L
ANALYSIS: Held up last, not fluent 4th, steady headway from 3 out, stayed on to take fourth before final flight, kept on, nearest finish

    Benjamin Poste

    Age 6 TT

ANALYSIS: Prominent, lost ground quickly landing side 4th, soon pulled up
VERDICT: There didn't appear to be any fluke about Cotoneaster's 50/1 second on handicap debut at Uttoxeter and the winner of that race has franked the form by doubling up since. Ryan Potter's mare is just 1lb higher and looks like the one they all have to beat. Huit Reflets possibly didn't handle the undulations of Cartmel last time and it would come as no surprise to see him bounce back to form, while Tropical Talent switches from fences off a workable mark.
