VERDICT: Having previously chased home the useful Ombudsman at Leicester in July, it was a touch disappointing that Winston's Tipple was unable to justify prohibitive odds at Doncaster next time. A return to the all-weather should play to his strengths, though, and the son of Churchill is expected to repel the likely challenge of Northern Ruler. Sea Journey contested a decent Newmarket novice when last seen in November and she warrants a market check ahead of her return.
