VERDICT: The Actor may not have progressed as hoped since a taking success at Newmarket in May, including when going off a single-figure price for the Coventry Stakes next time out. However, he remains a colt of potential and might be able to regain the winning thread now eased in class, possibly at the main expense of Brize Norton, who shaped with some promise when not getting home over further at Kempton on debut earlier in the month. Sands Of Marra is another to consider if bouncing back to the form that saw him score comfortably at Windsor on his penultimate outing.
