VERDICT: An open contest in which many will fancy their chances, including Bona Fortuna, who completed a double at Windsor last month, and Scarlet Lady. The latter romped home at Yarmouth recently and is officially 8lb well-in today, although this is undoubtedly more demanding. Rating was narrowly denied over C&D last time and she might improve for the addition of first-time cheekpieces, while handicap debutant Murashah is one to monitor closely in the betting. However, a chance is taken on Fool's Gold . On target at Windsor last September, he went on to make little impact in the Flying Childers just 11 days later. There were signs of encouragement on his seasonal return, though, and a step up to 7f could be the making of him.
