VERDICT: The relatively experienced Nala Star was last seen finishing fourth over 5f at Lingfield last month and, provided the application of cheekpieces has the desired effect, she should be competitive once more. That said, Beaujolais Nouveau edges preference. Ben Haslam's charge pulled clear of the third when finishing runner-up to a potentially useful sort over 5f at Hamilton latest and, with the promise of more to come, she may prove tough to stop. Of the newcomers, Desert Eye appeals most.
