VERDICT: Runner-up at Tramore on her racecourse debut earlier this month, Alaskan View can make the most of this opportunity. The Willie Martin-trained four-year-old is entitled to be all the better for that initial experience, while in Phidelma Elvin she has one of the stronger riders in this race. Monroes Hollow shaped with plenty of promise when fifth at the Galway Festival first time up. Time may well show that to have been a fair contest, so with that in mind the Peter Fahey-trained gelding has to be of interest. Jody Townend looks a rather significant booking for the Michael Grassick-trained Albert Hirsch. Mid division on both runs to date, the son of Beat Hollow might be capable of better given the benefit of those races.
