VERDICT: Calshot Spit lost little in defeat when finishing fourth in a warm novice event over C&D in July and, on the back of a comfortable victory on the Flat earlier this month, he gets the vote to make his handicap hurdling debut a winning one. Malina Ocarina scored in cheekpieces (retained) over an extended 2m2f here last month and a 4lb rise for that performance doesn't discount her, while better can be expected from Greenways on his handicap bow.
