VERDICT: In what looks a trappy opening contest, Longuerue gets the tentative vote. Robert Eddery's charge put on a stamina-laden performance when scoring over 1m6f at Yarmouth earlier this month and the suspicion is that a 3lb rise may not be enough to anchor her back up to 2m. Dangers are aplenty, though, and are headed by last-time-out winner Scylla, though a 4lb rise for that performance demands more. Smart over obstacles, Teqany is a fascinating contender reverting to the level.
