VERDICT: Frankel gelding Baltic Bird is forgiven his recent Galway hurdling disappointment as he had previously run very well in a prestigious race at that festival five days earlier. He finished fourth to one Extensio at Fairyhouse in July and being a strong stayer, is well suited by this distance. Royal Eagle finished third over hurdles at the Galway festival and again ran well on the flat at Tramore recently. She also stays well and today's different rider again claims 7lb but doesn't appear ahead of the handicapper. Reina Del Mar could be suited by trying this extreme flat distance for the first time and today's rider claims 5lb.
