VERDICT: La Yakel will be sharper for a comeback run at Ascot and the ground has turned in his favour. A winner on soft ground at Doncaster last autumn, William Haggas' five-year-old has strong claims if back to his best. Mr Alan will also appreciate the underfoot conditions and looks a threat off his current rating, while dual novice winner Theory Of Tides struggled in Group 2 company at Ascot in June, but could feature at this level making his handicap debut. Last year's winner Postileo is 5lb higher but may go well again.
