VERDICT: Calyxoh has been set some stiff assignments, but didn't disgrace himself in the Windsor Castle and the Rose Bowl Stakes. His Royal Ascot performance, in particular, was commendable and he can boost his confidence with a breakthrough triumph before ascending the class ladder again. Cairdeas left an ordinary debut well behind when making the frame behind a couple of promising colts at Salisbury. He is the logical threat, unless any of the newcomers are useful, with Reporter arguably of most interest.
