VERDICT: Support in the betting for the likes of Maxi Boy, Slainte Mhath and Iris Dancer would need to be taken seriously as each would have a live chance if they get the breaks in running. However, from a draw close to the stands' side, Pop Star is dangerous to underestimate. The selection has fluffed the start the last twice but, as he showed when landing a brace of wins at Ayr in June, he is speedy and highly effective when getting the fractions right.
