VERDICT: Dual Ayr winner Novak returned with a solid second at Newcastle 10 days ago and he makes plenty of appeal racing off an unchanged mark. Any improvement for that 140-day layoff should make Iain Jardine's gelding tough to beat and he shades the verdict ahead of Monhammer. Linda Perratt's gelding drops in class he and ought to be a real threat down to his last winning mark. Unexposed three-year-old Sir Garfield posted another solid effort over C&D on Saturday and is another to bear in mind.
